X-ray and Radiation Shield Doors and Windows
Description

NZ Fire Doors offer a range of lead-lined doors with either steel or timber jambs specifically for x-ray rooms. The radiation-shielded doors meet or exceed required specifications for radiation and x-ray shielding.

Doors can include SCHOTT RD50 Radiation Shielding Glass, which is hand cut and finished to SCHOTT specification and discreetly branded to ISO Standard with a Glaspec etch mark for traceability.

  • Lead sheet inserts within jamb and door leaf
  • Door thickness can range depending on fire ratings if any. 
  • Doors up to 2400 in hinged singles or pairs
  • Timber or steel windows frames with X-Ray shielding glass.

In-Service History

NZFD have been producing X-ray shielding doors and windows for the health sector since the 1990's.  Significant recent projects include: Doors and X-ray vision panels at Mercy Angio in Albany, Auckland and the supply of X-ray glass for windows at Chrictchurch Hospital.
