Description

APL Architectural Series ThermalHEART® sliding doors have a flushline sill track with smooth sliding panels. They slide on an external track and are rated to 3.0m high. Interlocker stiles and mullions are flush in the closed position.

  • The sill frame has a flush track
  • Interlockers stiles and mullions are flush in the closed position
  • A bypass slider is available where two or more panels can be moved independently without a fixed panel
  • Corner sliding doorsare available with no corner post (exterior and interior corners)
  • Sill tray and seismic frames are available
  • Wide opening is possible in bi-parting or multi-stacking configurations
  • Overwall and cavity sliding options are available
  • Maximum glass thickness of 32mm IGU — compliance with NZBC clause H1 Energy Efficiency requires high performing Low-E double glazing
Scope of Use
  • Suitable for broad residential use, including in apartments and buildings over 10m in height
  • Available in defined maximum size
Limitations on Use
  • For true, flush indoor-outdoor levels consider recessing the sill into the floor pad to minimise or eliminate upstand
  • Sashes in sidelights need to be carefully considered and out of the travel path of the door panel
  • Recommended maximum 2.8m high doors in Extra High wind zones — for larger sizes
  • Compliance with NZBC clause H1 Energy Efficiency requires high performing Low-E double glazing

  • Designed, tested and manufactured to meet NZS 4211: Specification for Performance of Windows, and NZS 4233: Glazing in Buildings, Parts 1-4
  • Conforms to all relevant NZ Building Code clauses

Other Performance Attributes
  • Window and door warranty provided under normal conditions of use against failure of materials and workmanship for a period of five years
  • Surface finish is covered by a separate performance warranty dependent on the actual finish selected. APL Architectural Series ThermalHEART® products can have a different colour on the interior and exterior faces as an optional choice.
  • A hardware/componentry warranty is offered against defects in manufacturing, functionality and surface finish for a period of five years, provided care and maintenance guidelines have been followed
