Description

The Roof Hatch System provides a complete roof or ceiling access solution combining hatch, ladder, and guardrails.

Skydore Roof Access Hatches are lightweight and robust and lockable, and available in three sizes. Hatch lids are available as either hinged galvanised steel with a gas strut; or as a sliding aluminium with retractable runners and a cantilever lid.

VISTA fold-down ladders feature pneumatic struts for safe and smooth operation are supplied as modular components for fitting to exact height measurements on site. Fold-away feature provides a controlled, authorised access system, with optional locking facility

Scope of Use
  • Industrial rated, suited to high frequency usage
  • Provides external access from inside the building to rooftop for inspection and maintenance
  • Provides access into and through ceiling plenums
  • Fold-away feature provides a controlled, authorised access system
  • Vista Maxi Ladder option for higher purlin type roof structures incorporating a suspended ceiling
  • Hatches suitable for tray deck or corrugated roofs

  • Hatch can also be used with a fixed ladder
Limitations on Use

Working Load Limit:

  • Recommended for single person use — 150kg
  • Support structure integrity, suitability and fixing method to be assessed and determined by a competent person prior to installation
Statement of Building Code Compliance
  • Vista Access Ladders are designed in accordance with relevant requirements and sections of AS1657:1992, AS/NZS 1892:1996 
  • Skydore Hatches comply with AS 1657-2018 Part 7.4.8.3
  • Hatch Guardrails conform with AS1657.2018
