Environmental sustainability is naturally one of the key focuses at Potter Interior Systems. Specifically within the last five years, Potters' range of sustainable products and systems suitable for environmentally conscious and Green Star buildings has increased, as has the demand for them.
Potters' dedication to environmental sustainability saw their aluminium partitioning suites earn the Declare label over a year ago, achieving the Red List Free status. Attaining Declare certification means that the partitioning systems meet the strict Declare materials standards that offer specifiers, contractors and building users transparency, insight and confidence that products are non-toxic and safe.
This year marks Potter Interior Systems building business together for 50 years. With their continual commitment to innovation, they have been a member of the New Zealand Green Building Council (NZGBC) since 2013. It has been during this time that Potters was proudly involved with the fit-out of the NZGBC's own office. Potters' aluminium partitions were installed and contributed to the achievement of a 5 Green Star rating. More recently, their aluminium partitions E Series 132, DF Series and DS Series, USG Mars SLT and DX grid, steel stud were installed into the new Environmental Canterbury (ECAN) 4 Green Star building in Christchurch.
With great importance held in regards to the environment and areas that people work and live in, Potters will continue to build and broaden their range of eco-friendly products. They are currently in the Declare assessment process for a number of other key products that they supply into the commercial and interior fit-out market.
