Potters ceilings consist of a range of pre-finished, non-combustible acoustic panels fitted into a specially designed fire and seismically rated grid system.
Potters USG Firecode panels incorporate a high clay content binder that dramatically improves their fire resistance compared to normal mineral fibre formulation. With the combination of the grid and tile Potters can obtain up to a 60/60/60 FRR under timber and concrete floors and also in conjunction with timber and steel roof structures.
The use of Potters USG fire-rated, exposed grid systems will provide a fully fire-rated system and speed up installation times compared with plasterboard systems. This solution will also provide a cosmetically pleasing and acoustical solution without the requirement of wet trades or additional acoustic treatments.
Potters USG Firecode acoustic ceiling panels have early fire reaction properties to: AS/NZS 3837 Group 1-S; ISO 5660; ASTM E84 and AS1530.4 fire resistance tests on elements of construction (results of these tests are available upon request from your Potters account manager).
Potters range of fire-rated systems also utilise its engineered steel stud and direct fix products conjoined with high performance Autoclaved Matrix Engineered Mineral Boards to offer an exceptionally high impact, moisture and fire resistant product with fire ratings up to 120/120/120 easily achieved with a single layer system.
With great acoustic values the system is also designed to protect a wide range of structural members from deformation from fire and provide labour-saving solutions to fire rated partitions, ceiling and service encasements.
Along with effective protection against both cellulosic and hydrocarbon fires all systems are tested by independent facilities to meet modern building code requirements.
