Description

For noisy pipes in buildings, NuWrap 5 is the effective and easy-to-install sound lagging solution. Also suitable for ducting and ventilation fans, it is supplied with 4-Zero foil facing as standard. Designed to meet the requirements of the building code, NuWrap 5 is available in rolls and as pre-cut ‘fittings’ for quick and easy installation. NuWrap 5 Acoustic Pipe Lagging combines acoustic convoluted open cell foam laminated to NuWave acoustic barrier.

Limitations on Use

Thermotec acoustic lagging may require the addition of other building elements such as plasterboard to achieve the appropriate acoustic rating required by local authorities.

Statement of Building Code Compliance

NZBC B2.3.1 (b) Thermotec Acoustic lagging meets the 15 year performance requirement.
NZBC C3.4 Thermotec acoustic lagging has been tested in accordance with ISO 5660.1 – 2015 with a Product Group Number Classification of 3.
NZBC G6.2: When selected and installed correctly Thermotec acoustic lagging systems provide the ability to create a fully compliant solution for acoustic pipe lagging of plumbing and ventilation systems. 
Specifically, to safeguard people from illness or loss of amenity as a result of noise being transmitted from other occupancies or common spaces, to the habitable spaces of household units.

NZBC F2.3.1 Thermotec Acoustic lagging does not present a health hazard to people.
