4-Zero Thermal Pipe Insulation
Description

Allproof 4-Zero pipe insulation has been developed to meet the demanding standards of commercial hot and cold water reticulating systems. With excellent thermal insulation performance, 4-Zero provides the energy retention properties required by current building specifications.

Aluminium foil faced 4-Zero, meets the needs of the specifier that requires a high performing product while offering optimum resistance to fire. This product gives a “zero” rating when tested in accordance with AS/NZS1530.3 “early fire hazard properties of materials”. With the added benefit of being UV Stable for a minimum of five years it makes an excellent product of choice.

4-Zero thermal pipe lagging doesn’t contain any chloride ions in its material makeup meaning it is suitable for all types of pipe including stainless steel.

low V.O.C. Green Building Council and Green Star compliant. ODP-EMI9 – No ozone depleting substances used in both the manufacture and composition of the product. GWP – zero contribution to “Global Warming Potential”. Manufactured using up to 50% recycled material.

Limitations on Use

Thermotec acoustic lagging may require the addition of other building elements such as plasterboard to achieve the appropriate acoustic rating required by local authorities.

 

Statement of Building Code Compliance

NZBC B2.3.1 (b) Thermotec Acoustic lagging meets the 15 year performance requirement.

NZBC C3.4 Thermotec acoustic lagging has been tested in accordance with ISO 5660.1 – 2015 with a Product Group Number Classification of 3.

NZBC G6.2: When selected and installed correctly Thermotec acoustic lagging systems provide the ability to create a fully compliant solution for acoustic pipe lagging of plumbing and ventilation systems. 

Specifically, to safeguard people from illness or loss of amenity as a result of noise being transmitted from other occupancies or common spaces, to the habitable spaces of household units. 

NZBC F2.3.1 Thermotec Acoustic lagging does not present a health hazard to people.
