Product testing by parent company APL Window Solutions has seen the increased rating for Klima sliding doors from the previous 2.1m-high recommendation.
The made-for-New Zealand Klima Series of uPVC windows and doors was launched last year and is available through Altherm, First and Vantage manufacturers. It is being widely used around the country following strong interest by designers and homeowners. Raking windows are also now available as part of the range upgrade.
Klima has outstanding thermal efficiency. When used with low-E double glazing it is rated to a maximum 6 energy stars under WEERS (Window Energy Efficiency Rating System). Featuring thermally broken insulated frames, the Klima range is suitable for Homestar designs.
The range is based on the premium quality 76 Series by Kommerling, the northern hemisphere market leader, with design adaptations made by APL to suit New Zealand conditions and installation practices.
Though available as standard in white, Klima products can also be provided with an ‘AluClip’ aluminium face on the external exposure which is powdercoated to suit desired colour schemes.
