Mammoth Skillion Sections
Description

Mammoth Skillion sections are designed to be installed in the ceiling of homes or buildings where the roof and ceiling run in close parallel lines — where the ceiling lining is fitted to the bottom of the roof rafter. Uniquely, Mammoth Skillion sections are self-supporting without the need for battens or strapping ahead of plaster board being fitted. 

Made in New Zealand from thermally bonded polyester fibres, they are Red-List Free, moisture resistant and manufactured by a carboNZero certified organisation.

Scope of Use

Mammoth Skillion sections are designed to be installed in the ceiling of homes or buildings where the roof and ceiling run in close parallel lines — where the ceiling lining is fitted to the bottom of the roof rafter.

Statement of Building Code Compliance

In the opinion of BRANZ, Mammoth Insulation if designed, used, installed and maintained in accordance with the statements and conditions of this Appraisal, will meet or contribute to meeting the following provisions of the NZBC:

  • Clause B2 Durability: Performance B2.3.1(a) not less than 50 years and B2.3.1(b) 15 years. Mammoth Insulation will meet this requirement.
  • Clause E3 Internal Moisture: Performance E3.3.1. Mammoth Insulation will contribute to meeting this requirement. See Paragraphs 13.1 and 13.2.
  • Clause F2 Hazardous Materials: Performance F2.3.1. Mammoth Insulation meets this requirement and will not present a health hazard to people.
  • Clause H1 Energy Efficiency: Performance H1.3.1 (a) and H1.3.2 E. Mammoth Insulation will contribute to meeting these requirements. See Paragraphs 14.1 and 14.2.

    • AS/NZS60695.2.11 - Glow wire flammability test (passed)
    • AS/NZS60695.11.5 - Needle-flame test (passed)
  • VOC Emission Test: Total VOC< 0.005mg/m³ (level below detection) and Formaldehyde < 0.009mg/m³ (level below detection)
  • Non Corrosive: AS/NZS4859.1 (Alkalinity of pH7.8)
  • Vermin Resistant: Not a food source for vermin and not treated
