Mammoth Acoustic Panel Absorber
Description

Mammoth Acoustic Panel Absorber (previously NOVAhush) insulation is 100% polyester and made in New Zealand. It is designed to be used as an interior surface lining in commercial and residential spaces to help reduce noise reverberation and can also be used within HVAC ducting. It is a semi rigid board in white, black or grey with a white or black polyester inner.

Scope of Use

Mammoth Acoustic Panel Absorber is a versatile and safe choice for any surface liner and can be used in:

  • Exitways
  • Ceiling and wall materials in sleeping spaces 
  • All other occupied spaces including household units (walls and ceiling) and 
  • Ducts for HVAC systems (internal and external surfaces)

Mammoth Acoustic Panel Absorber is designed for acoustic application and not recommended for visual application as the surface may show creases, wrinkles or slight colour variations due to the manufacturing process.

Statement of Building Code Compliance
  • Clause B2 Durability: Performance B2.3.1(a) not less than 50 years and B2.3.1(b) 15 years. Mammoth Insulation will meet this requirement.
  • Clause E3 Internal Moisture: Performance E3.3.1. Mammoth Insulation will contribute to meeting this requirement. See Paragraphs 13.1 and 13.2.
  • Clause F2 Hazardous Materials: Performance F2.3.1. Mammoth Insulation meets this requirement and will not present a health hazard to people.

  • Noise Reduction Coefficients: (NRC)ASTM C423 - 580g/m³ (0.70), 750g/m³ (0.85) and 1000g/m³ (0.90)
  • Non-toxic and Non-irritant: OSH Health and Safety Guidelines for the Selection and Safe Handling of Synthetic Mineral Fibres.  Department of Labour, 1194, P18.
  • Fire Test: ISO 9075 (Group 1S)
  • Total VOC < 0.005mg/m³ (level below detection) and Formaldehyde < 0.009mg/m³ (level below detection)
  • Non Corrosive: AS/NZS4859.1 (Polyester has alkalinity of PH7.8
  • Vermin Resistant: not a food source for vermin (and not treated)
  • Moisture Resistant: Absorption rate of less than 0.3% by weight
