Mammoth Duct Liner
Description

Mammoth Duct Liner (previously NOVAhush duct liner) is a lightweight flexible 100% polyester insulation made in New Zealand.  It is designed to absorb noise and thermally insulate the duct.  This ensures the reduction of sound transfer along the duct, ensuring the air of the desired temperature is delivered at the outlets.

  • The thermal qualities of Mammoth Duct Liner eliminates the need to insulate the exterior of the ducting
  • Mammoth Duct Liner will not shed particles (fibre fall-out) or delaminate under high air flow velocities — ensuring the airstream remains clean. When installed to the manufacturer's instructions, it will remain in place ensuring the thermal effectiveness of the installed system

  • No precautions are required for handling Mammoth. It will not cause irritation when touched and it gives off no fumes or odours

Scope of Use

Mammoth Duct Liner is designed for use within HVAC ducting systems to absorb noise and thermally insulate the duct.

  • Thermal Conductivity: ASTM C518-91 (25mm samples)
    • Conductivity at 10˚C mean: 0.0396 W/m.k
    • Conductivity at 20˚C mean: 0.0421 W/m.k
    • Conductivity at 30˚C mean: 0.0447 W/m.k
  • Non-toxic and Non-irritant: OSH Health and Safety Guidelines for the Selection and Safe Handling of Synthetic Mineral Fibres.  Department of Labour, 1194, P18.
  • Fire Testing:
  • AS1530 Part 3 - Ignitability (0), Spread of Flame (0), Heat Evolved (0) and Smoke Developed (2)
  • VOC Emission Test: Total VOC < 0.005mg/m3 (level below detection) and Formaldehyde < 0.009mg/m3 (level below detection)
  • Non Corrosive: AS/NZS4859.1 (Polyester has alkalinity of PH7.8
  • Vermin Resistant: not a food source for vermin (and not treated)
  • Moisture Resistant: 0.3% — Water Vapour Sorption by weight
  • Anti-fungal Efficacy: ASTM G21-96 (incubated at 30˚C for 28 days) - Growth rate: 0 (scale 0-4)
