FIREFLY Phoenix
Description

EFLY Phoenix is a lightweight fabric smoke and fire barrier, weighing 500g per m² and is 0.4m thick. It has the tensile strength of steel and is available coated in aluminium or silicon on one side to make it waterproof

Available in a 25m x 1.3m (32.5m²) roll.

Scope of Use

Used to provide smoke reservoirs and smoke and flame compartmentation or sub division of roof spaces and voids above demountable partitions and suspended ceilings. Can be used as a smoke barrier in both vertical and horizontal applications. Ideal for Aged Care Centres amongst others. Can be retrofitted with minimal disruption to occupants.

Dry installation, simply fixed to existing structure with no studwork required. Seams are stapled with the FIREFLY R31 staple gun and R31 12mm stainless steel staples, using a double fold method to create a neat seal. A continuous perimeter fix is required for smoke compartmentation or sub division.

Up to -/90/- dependent on tested system. For subject FRL refer to referenced reports.

Limitations on Use

Designed for use in tested passive fire protection solutions.

Statement of Building Code Compliance

The product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:

  • Clause C3 Fire affecting areas beyond the fire source: Performance C3.9
  • Clause C4 Movement to place of safety: Performance C4.3

Tested in accordance with AS1530.1 non combustibility.
