Nu-Wall Compliant up to and Including NZS3604 Extra High Wind Zone

Nu-Wall has been appraised by BRANZ as being compliant with the New Zealand Building Code, with the scope of the applicable appraisals incorporating the Extra High Wind Zone as defined in NZS3604. This scope is covered by all three appraisals: #550 (Horizontal cladding over cavity), #870 (Vertical cladding over cavity) and #556 (Direct-fixed vertical cladding).

BRANZ appraisals can be downloaded from the Nu-Wall website, EBOSS or alternatively from the BRANZ website.

Nu-Wall's published specifications closely adhere to NZBC Clause E2/AS1 in requiring the incorporation of a rigid air barrier (RAB) where Wind Zone is classified as Extra High; also sealing between joinery head-flashings and frame, per Figure 71 in Clause E2/AS1 where Wind Zone is classified as Very High or Extra High. Nu-Wall has additionally been subjected to testing at wind pressures in excess of those defined by NZS3604 — more information relating to such testing is available on request.
