For nearly four decades, Nu-Wall has been at the forefront of aluminium cladding in New Zealand, offering high-performance, durable, and aesthetically versatile solutions. Locally designed and manufactured, Nu-Wall products ensure a resilient and reliable supply chain — a crucial advantage in today’s building environment.
Why aluminium cladding?
Aluminium offers the ideal combination of strength, durability, and design flexibility. Unlike traditional materials, it won’t rot, rust, or warp, making it an excellent choice for New Zealand’s demanding climate. It is also non-combustible, lightweight, and low-maintenance, reducing ongoing costs while ensuring long-term structural performance.
With a wide range of profiles, colours, and finishes, Nu-Wall allows architects to achieve both contemporary and classic designs, while builders benefit from straightforward installation and a highly durable end result.
A system built to perform
Nu-Wall’s BRANZ-appraised aluminium cladding system is designed for residential and light commercial applications. It features an interlocking, cavity-based weatherboard system available in three installation methods:
- Vertical boards on a ventilated cavity
- Vertical boards direct-fixed
- Horizontal boards on a ventilated cavity
With over 20 distinct profiles, Nu-Wall offers unmatched design freedom while ensuring compliance with New Zealand’s strict weather-tightness and performance standards.
Engineered for durability and aesthetic appeal
Nu-Wall weatherboards are manufactured from 6063-T5 or 6060-T5 aluminium alloy and supplied as a finished product in either powder-coated or anodised options.
Advanced powder coating for longevity
Nu-Wall’s powder-coated boards undergo a multi-step process:
- Pre-treatment: The freshly extruded aluminium is cleaned and prepared.
- Powder application: A durable plastic resin coating is electrostatically applied.
- Curing: The boards are baked at high temperatures, creating a UV-resistant, abrasion-resistant finish.
The result? A tough, long-lasting surface with up to 25-year warranties on Dulux and Interpon New Zealand applied and warranted coatings. Powder-coated boards are available in any colour from these ranges, with a maximum length of 9m and an average powder thickness of 80 microns (μm) for exceptional durability.
