The new Building Code requirements released late last year divided New Zealand into six climate zones and raised the required R-Value of insulation substantially.
Mammoth has released a new R2.8 underfloor insulation product designed to support higher system R-Values as required in the new Building Code. It also follows the release of higher R-Values in polyester wall and skillion insulation released earlier this year.
Mammoth's underfloor sections are now available in both R1.9 and R2.8 with further developments underway. Both underfloor sections are made from 100% polyester, are moisture resistant and self-supporting without the need for staples or other mechanical fixings.
For projects that will be submitted for consent after November 2022, or that want to comply with the new Building Code now, Mammoth R2.8 underfloor sections are an ideal sub-floor solution.
Mammoth is in a great position to be able to help out with advice and more practical H1 compliance documentation for ceiling, wall and floor insulation.
