Introducing 13 New Melteca Decors

Explore the sophisticated new Melteca Melamine decors, taking inspiration from global colour trends, with a nod to the warmth of mid-century modern neutrals and woodgrains. The range has also been enhanced by the addition of some timeless ash-based timber tones, plus a couple of old favourites which have been given a contemporary update. All of the decors are available with a 1mm edgetape, for a seamless look.

The range update offers seven new woodgrain decors from the rich Vintage Walnut to the timeless Urban Ash.

Four warm neutrals enhance the range, perfect for adding depth to a space. Chalk White is a warm ecru white with neutral tone, Moccasin is a rich, deep beige that pairs well with different timber tones, Raw Cotton is a sandy beige, well balanced and versatile, and French Cream is a rich, yellow based neutral, which is a colour match to Laminex Formica Laminate.

It wouldn’t be a Melteca range update without green. Hushed Pine is a strong pure green, slightly blackened to soften the vibrancy of the hue. It works beautifully with pale timber tones and warm whites. Finally, Laminex is introducing one pattern, Cured Concrete, a blue based grey with a modern polished concrete vibe.

Melteca decorated board is intended for interior use in both residential and commercial applications such as kitchen cabinetry, cupboards, drawers, shelving, furniture, wall linings, shop fittings and other vertical surfaces in commercial environments.

Melteca Fire Retardant is suitable for all wall linings where maximum fire resistance is important.

When stored, handled, used and maintained in accordance with the Melteca Technical Data Sheet, Melteca will meet the durability requirements of NZBC B2.3.1(c) for 5 years. Melteca also complies with the requirements of AS/NZS 1859.3 2005.

The Group Number Classifications below were generated from tests carried out and data recorded in accordance with the test procedure described in ISO 5660 2002 — Reaction-to-Fire — Part 1: Heat Release & Part 2: Smoke Production Rate, for the purposes of determination of the Group Classification in accordance with the New Zealand Building Code Verification Method C/VM2 Appendix A.

Melteca bonded to Lakepine Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) substrate — Group Number Classification 3.*

Melteca Fire Retardant Panels — Group Number Classification 1-S.

*Please note: Indicative testing has indicated a change in substrate to Lakepine MRZero or Superfine particleboard (Standard or MR) that will not alter the Group Number Classification.
