Melteca decorated board is intended for interior use in both residential and commercial applications such as kitchen cabinetry, cupboards, drawers, shelving, furniture, wall linings, shop fittings and other vertical surfaces in commercial environments.

Melteca Fire Retardant is suitable for all wall linings where maximum fire resistance is important.

• Melteca is not intended for use in an exterior situation. 
• Do not use Melteca in constant wear situations such as sink bench tops, high use shop counters, bar tops or restaurant tables. Surface protection (mouse pad) should be provided at regular to high use computer workstations
• Melteca must not be used in high humidity or wet areas such as saunas or showers. The Melteca substrate must not come in contact with any liquid. Failure to keep dry will affect the performance of the panel. For Health and Safety Precautions please refer to the Health and Safety section of the brochure.
• Melteca is no different from any other material in that darker colours and gloss finishes will always show scratches and superficial wear and tear more readily than lighter colours or lower gloss finishes.

When stored, handled, used and maintained in accordance with the Melteca Technical Data Sheet, Melteca will meet the durability requirements of NZBC B2.3.1(c) for 5 years. Melteca also complies with the requirements of AS/NZS 1859.3 2005.

The Group Number Classifications below were generated from tests carried out and data recorded in accordance with the test procedure described in ISO 5660 2002 — Reaction-to-Fire — Part 1: Heat Release & Part 2: Smoke Production Rate, for the purposes of determination of the Group Classification in accordance with the New Zealand Building Code Verification Method C/VM2 Appendix A.

Melteca bonded to Lakepine Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) substrate — Group Number Classification 3.*

Melteca Fire Retardant Panels — Group Number Classification 1-S. 

*Please note: Indicative testing has indicated a change in substrate to Lakepine MRZero or Superfine particleboard (Standard or MR) that will not alter the Group Number Classification.
