The high performance thermal range, which is available from APL brands ALTHERM, FIRST and VANTAGE, has been redesigned to not only offer a sliding door with flush interior-to-exterior sightlines, but increased thermal resistance and a hidden beading system for a smooth clean look.

The slider unit on display at the NZIA gathering also displayed the product's dual colour capability – in this case, an anodised surface on the outside combined with a powder coating on the inside.

The R-value for the conference display door was 0.62 inclusive of high performance low-e double glazing. This measure of insulation effectiveness earns the highest classification – 6 stars – under the Window Energy Efficiency Rating System recently adopted by the window industry.

An overwall slider option is now included in the door range.
