An Energie central heating system consists of a Solar Block solar heat pump unit and either 6, 12, 16, 28 or 40 aluminium thermodynamic panels, which are externally mounted on the roof, wall or ground.
It can be used with underfloor heating, radiators, convectors or fan coils — underfloor heating is the most common application in New Zealand. Energie central heating also offers the possibility of alternating between heating the home in the cooler months and swimming pool heating in the warmer months.
Having the solar thermodynamic panels outside makes this technology 35% more efficient than standard air to water heat pumps because of the solar gain.
TAEC manage the installayion themselves to ensure effective operation and no maintenance. Relevant installation documents can be supplied by The Alternative Energy Company on request.
