The Alternative Energy Company was founded in 2012 to promote renewable energy and sell energy saving products in order to reduce the use of fossil fuels and reduce carbon emissions.

It introduced solar thermodynamic hot water heating technology to New Zealand and sells the Eco, Ecotop and Aquapura  range of products from brand leading manufacturer 'Energie'. It has also introduced Eurothane GP insulation, a polyisocyanurate (PIR) rigid board insulation product used in construction, manufactured in Europe by Recticel.

The company is passionate about renewable energy solutions and energy saving technologies.
