Dekton Façade
Description

Dekton by Cosentino is a sustainable ultracompact stone surface made from a sophisticated mixture of more than 20 minerals. The manufacturing process incorporates exclusive TSP technology, sintering the minerals together to create a low-porosity surface.

Since 2020, Dekton has been certified as Carbon Neutral from cradle to grave, making it the ideal surfacing application for both environmentally conscious and sustainable builds.

Dekton is ideal for a wide range of interior and exterior applications, both residential and commercial, such as flooring, walls, stairs, exterior cladding, ventilated facades, benchtops, and work surfaces.

Dekton is available in large format panels — up to 3200 x 1440mm and with recent colours available in 3300 x 1500mm

Scope of Use

Dekton is polyvalence, it can be used for interior and exterior applications. Some of the main applications Dekton is used for include: 

  • Exterior cladding and ventilated facades 
  • Exterior paving 
  • Pool cladding
  • Staircases
  • Outdoor Kitchens
  • Furniture Cladding – cabinetry door cladding, dining, or coffee tables 

Facade installation options with Dekton include: 

  • DKT1: undercut anchor — keil or fischer
  • DKT2: grooved edge and continuous profile
  • DKT3: grooved edge and spot clips
  • DKT4: visible clips
  • DKB: direct adhesion

In-Service History

Dekton has been used for multiple facade projects around the globe, to ensure building protection, energy savings and longevity in design.  In 2020, we completed the Westfield Newmarket exterior facade in Auckland.  This project consisted of 700m² of 12mm Dekton Danae installed using the Etem Alum System and with keil anchors.

Other Performance Attributes

Dekton by Cosentino is manufactured in Almeria Spain, where Cosentino produce brands with sustainability at the forefront — using 100% renewable energy, 99% recycled water with zero water discharge and recycled minerals.  Cosentino has recently commissioned one of Europes largest Photovoltaic Solar farms, consisting of 38,000 PV panels to assist with the energy production for their warehouses. 

Dekton has been certified as Carbon Neutral, from cradle to grave since 2020, with new collections launching in 2023.
