Dekton by Cosentino is an ultra-compact surface that offers exceptional durability and versatility, making it a top choice for façades. Whether for residential projects, such as standalone homes or apartments, or large commercial developments, Dekton provides a high-performance solution that meets the toughest requirements for weathertightness, fire safety and design flexibility.
Thanks to its impressive resistance to extreme temperatures, fire, UV degradation and harsh weather, Dekton is an ideal material for façades. Its fireproof properties ensure it meets the most stringent safety standards. The material's resistance to scratching, impact and abrasion guarantees its long-term durability. Additionally, it’s a non-porous material ensuring no water absorption and low expansion, which makes it highly stable in New Zealand's varied climate.
One of Dekton’s most attractive qualities is its minimal maintenance. Unlike other materials that may require repainting or treatments over time, Dekton retains its integrity and appearance with simple occasional cleaning. This ease of upkeep translates into significantly lower maintenance costs, making it a smart long-term investment for both residential and commercial projects.
Available in large-format slabs and various thicknesses, Dekton by Cosentino offers architects the freedom to create seamless, uninterrupted surfaces that suit a wide range of design styles. The material is designed for ventilated façades, curtain walls and bonded systems.
For the Newmarket Westfield building in Auckland, Dekton Danae was chosen for the façade. The installation, carried out by Eurotherm Facades NZ, used two advanced anchoring systems: the Etem Alum System and the Keil Anchor. With 700m² of 12mm Dekton Danae slabs and technical support from Cosentino’s headquarters in Spain, the project successfully combined form and function to deliver a modern, durable, and high-performance façade.
Backed by a 25-year commercial warranty and cradle-to-grave carbon-neutral certification, Dekton provides confidence in both its longevity and sustainability. And it’s an environmentally responsible choice for architects and developers alike, due to it being carbon neutral from cradle to grave.
Dekton continues to redefine what’s possible in the world of façades, offering architects new opportunities to create cutting-edge, high-performance designs.
