The durability and stability of Strata flooring over large areas were winning factors along with its outstanding acoustics for the busy bathroom showrooms.
Strata features award-winning Isocore Technology, an engineered closed-cell extruded vinyl core which is lightweight and strong. Team this with Droplock 100 end joints on planks which require no glues or screws and installation teams can complete the refurbishments quickly and efficiently. Strata is installed as a ‘floating floor’ over underlay and the additional layer provides further noise reduction for expansive areas.
Mico staff who have experienced working on concrete floors are enjoying consulting on the multi-layer floor which is more comfortable underfoot and durable.
New Zealanders have a love affair with timber so the oak colours of Strata Commercial flooring complement the hard surfaces of stone, tiles, ceramics, steel, mirror and glass utilised in the various display bathrooms. Three-dimensional decorative finishes on walls are also trending and the flooring is warm and complementary to the featured stone, metal, timber and wallpapers.
Isocore Technology is 100% waterproof and the multilayers are unaffected by excessive moisture in wet areas. Ease of maintenance is increased by an Ultra-Fresh treatment on the top layer which controls the growth of unwanted microbes and keeps it clean and odour free.
Cleaning staff are enjoying the easy care and maintenance. A quick flick over with a microfibre mop removes any dust and dirt. Followed with a pH-neutral vinyl cleaner, the flooring retains its handsome good looks.
The superior dimensional stability of the Isocore Technology means the larger showrooms of up to 150m² can be void of expansion gaps. The continuous flow is over the entire area and small perimeter gaps of 10mm only are required.
As more Mico stores are refurbished the compliments are flooding in. Staff and clients are enjoying the aesthetic and performance of the new Strata Commercial multi-layer flooring.
