Stylish Herringbone Flooring without the Maintenance

Quality parquet timber flooring never goes out of fashion but having to maintain and restore timber planks does. Substitute for a waterproof, hybrid flooring in pre-cut planks for decorative herringbone designs and you have the perfect upmarket, durable floor for any retail space, restaurant or stylish home.

A herringbone floor had its origins in the grand palaces and residences of Europe and was the domain of craftsmen planning to wow the aristocracy with their skill and flair. It was said to have been invented by architects in Rome. Now it is the domain of classy interiors and can be easily installed utilising a simple patented droplock point to point system saving considerable time. These original timber floors had to be refreshed and restored over and over again but today with Metroflor Herringbone the maintenance is minimal.

The range includes seven realistic natural wood grains from the subtle, neutral Turin Oak and French Oak to the more dramatic and moody Kentucky Oak. Pair this timber look flooring with traditional or modern décor as Herringbone flooring is timeless and can adapt to any styling.

The Metroflor range also incorporates the strength of hybrid flooring comprising multi-layers and a highly engineered structural core called ISOCORE which is light, strong and dimensionally stable across expansive areas. Showrooms, salons or expansive open plan living and dining areas can have unique herringbone patterns and borders usually seen in tiles. Lay in single or double planks to create your own individual look.

This hybrid flooring is also 100% waterproof making it an ideal choice for wet areas and hospitality. An Ultra-fresh treatment has been applied to the surface of the planks to inhibit the growth of unwanted mildew and odours in these high use areas.

Public spaces and hard flooring can be reflective and noisy. Metroflor Herringbone has a 1mm integrated sound mitigating underlay reducing both reflective and transmitted sound. It is also softer underfoot offering comfort for patrons, staff or those seeking a haven in their luxury bathroom retreat.

Maintaining Metroflor herringbone planks is as simple as regular vacuuming followed by damp mopping. A durable transparent vinyl wear layer provides protection against scuffing and scratching backed by a seven-year commercial warranty.

Hybrid flooring options such as Herringbone are perfect for spaces that have imperfect substrates. Laid as floating floors the planks can accommodate some variations and provide cost effective solutions for refurbishments when laid over existing tired floors.*
