Trespa Meteon Stands Test of Time at Teen Parent School

In 2010 the He Matariki Teen Parent School chose Trespa Meteon with Profix TS35 ventilated cavity façade system for the cladding of their new building. Specified by Mandeno Design, Trespa Meteon was the obvious choice for its durability, impact resistance, graffiti resistance and extensive colour range.

Décortech, who supply Trespa Meteon, recently caught up with Terri Cunningham, Manager of He Matariki Teen Parent School to see how the Trespa Cladding was performing five years on and to get her feedback on the building.

Terri advised they love the cladding and felt the Trespa Meteon gave the wow-factor to a relatively modest build. While she has been disappointed that the powdercoated aluminium joinery hasn’t retained its colour, the Trespa Meteon cladding is the same today as it was when it was installed.

Colour comparisons of new samples against the building show no colour fade on the Carmine Red. With New Zealand's harsh UV conditions, specifying red colours is always problematic, so Trespa's colour-fastness guarantee creates peace of mind when designing with even the boldest colours.

Terri was even more pleased when she wiped off graffiti on some panels with just a product that she had on hand. The Trespa cladding looks just as great today as it did when it was installed and is performing as promised in the harsh Northland sun and conditions.
