Twin-Skin Thermal Roofing Combats Condensation

Alsynite’s Twin-Skin Roofing and Cladding system has been uniquely designed for buildings where condensation issues are a concern. The two sheets of profiled fibreglass are laid over each other with the bottom sheet preventing the condensation droplets entering the building.

Additionally more buildings today are being constructed with insulated roofs, therefore the Twin-Skin skylight system should not be overlooked as this system also acts as a thermal barrier preventing the loss of warmth from the building during winter months (similar to a double-glazed window system) and reducing heat transmission during the summer.

The following testing has been carried out on the Alsynite Twin-Skin System:

    • Acoustic Properties by UniServices Limited, Auckland
    • Solar Optical Properties by Vipac Engineering & Scientists Ltd, Melbourne
    • Thermal Insulation Properties by AWTA Product Testing, Melbourne.

A copy of the test reports is available upon request from Alsynite NZ.

The Alsynite Twin-Skin System has been implemented in many and commercial buildings, and other projects where long-term, high quality natural lighting is required.
