The Topglass GC FR50 fire and smoke retardant natural lighting and cladding solution was supplied by Alsynite One NZ. The system was chosen as the most suitable roofing option for the brand new 8,000m² building at Te Rapa Gateway.
For this multi-million dollar purpose-built mail hub project in Hamilton, installers went for Topglass GC FR50 supplied with EXO-SET 206 Gelcoat weather surface coating due to its exceptional resistance against corrosive atmospheres and the protection it provides against solar deterioration.
The hub is a base for around 60 posties, 13 rural delivery contractors and 35 couriers, plus between 30 and 50 support staff.
Installation was completed by Lee Roofing, who took to installing the Topglass GC FR50 product as a perfect specification and application option. This specific building required a roofing solution with reduced ignitability, flame propagation and heat and smoke release over conventional resin systems.
