Set on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast, Kensington Park is a curated collection of homes, reminiscent of the Florida seaside. The development was designed to care about light, security, community and resourcefulness. It focusses on outlook and privacy, and draws on the best aspects of successful communities around the world.
To deliver the light, security and community feel, plus achieve the desired look, special attention was paid to the architectural features. The Spectrum Clearspan range of balustrades along with matching Spectrum louvres and shutters fitted the bill perfectly. Clearspan Vista (framed glass), Clearspan Settler and Heritage (aluminium baluster) balustrades use the same post, handrail and subrail. The louvres and shutters use the same size frame as the balustrade. This means there is great consistency over the project as it is effectively all from the same system.
The louvres and shutters provide residents with privacy and weather protection. Fixed louvres have been placed in carefully chosen locations and shutters attached to the building to provide the architectural flair that this development exudes. Sliding louvre screens with operable and fixed louvre blades have been used alongside fixed louvres on the apartments to provide privacy from surrounding residences.
The Clearspan balustrade system has the flexibility to be used on a wide range of applications from timber framed villas to concrete apartments, using top and side fix as well as castaway brackets. Louvre systems have been attached to the building by various means of fixing.
