Resco Restroom Cubicles Reflect Elegant Design at Zealong Tea Estate

Kirsten Crawford of DLA Architects Ltd says, "the Resco Compact Laminate cubicles in the soft grey base colour were selected for quality, appearance and durability."

Fully involved with the Waikato project’s design, documentation and contract observation, Kirsten points out, "the stylish and elegant design throughout the centre is intended to reflect the high-end product that Zealong Tea is renowned for."

Zealong is premium tea grown, processed and packaged on the estate, founded in 1996 by Vincent Chen. Zealong's organic tea is aimed at the premium end of the local and export markets.

The new centre, opened in a high profile event by Prime Minister John Key in October, is stage two of an expansion at the Gordonton estate. Last year a new production factory facility was completed which also included staff toilet cubicles by Resco. The Series 5000 cubicles for both stages of the expansion were specified from Resco by DLA Architects Ltd (Hamilton) team of Martin Swann (architect), Kirsten Crawford (senior technician/project administrator) and Katherine Vercoe (interior designer).

Resco General Manager Troy Henriques says in addition to guaranteeing style and durability, the antibacterial properties of Resco products appeal to clients such as Zealong where durable hygienic surfaces are required from restroom areas right through to food preparation and serving zones.

Clause G1 Personal Hygiene: sanitary fixtures shall provide appropriate privacy, allow effective cleaning, avoid dirt or germs and facilitate sanitation; Resco cubicles are designed to meet these requirements.
Clause G1 AS1 Accessibility: personal hygiene facilities provided for people with disabilities shall be accessible; Resco cubicles are designed to meet these requirements.
