Description

Resco's privacy screens are perfect for high use and wet areas. The compact laminate panels provide extended product life, and the screen colour can be matched or contrasted to the cubicle systems or Multicom wall panelling. Modesty screens or full height screens available in the 5000 series or the 7000 series.

Scope of Use

Resco's screens are used to offer privacy in communal toilet, shower or change room facilities and are designed to meet the building code. The compact laminate panels that Resco uses are extremely versatile, allowing its systems to be installed in wet and high-abuse environments.

Limitations on Use

Resco products are meant for internal use as the compact laminate panels are not colourfast in New Zealand's UV conditions.

Statement of Building Code Compliance

Resco's screens meets the following provisions of the NZBC:

  • Clause B2 Durability: the code requires 5 years — Resco compact laminate has a 10 year guarantee on the panel.
  • Clause C Fire Safety: Resco compact laminate has a group rating of 3 which meets the surface finish requirements for C/AS1 — C/AS7.
  • Clause E3 Internal Moisture: surfaces of building elements likely to be splashed must be impervious and easily cleaned; Resco compact laminate meets these requirements.
  • Clause G1 Personal Hygiene: sanitary fixtures shall provide appropriate privacy, allow effective cleaning, avoid dirt or germs and facilitate sanitation; Resco cubicles are designed to meet these requirements
  • Clause G1 AS1 Accessibility: personal hygiene facilities provided for people with disabilities shall be accessible; Resco cubicles are designed to meet these requirements.
In-Service History

Resco's products have been installed over the last 20 years. Its compact laminate panel originated in Europe in 1959, and has proven popular throughout the world, being the main choice for cubicles in Europe, America, Asia and Australasia.

Other Performance Attributes

Resco systems are a good choice when meeting the Greenstar rating system, as its compact laminate meets the requirements of IEQ-3 Indoor Air Quality due to its low formaldehyde and VOC emissions.
