Located 418 kilometres south of Perth is the port city of Albany. A significant tourist destination Albany is an excellent base from which to explore the many wonders of the Great Southern region of Western Australia.
One of these wonders is the new Albany Entertainment Centre, a state of the art performing arts and convention centre.
The stunning design by award-winning architects Cox Howlett & Bailey Woodland features a 620 seat 12 metre proscenium arch theatre with the flexible Kalyenup Studio able to seat an additional 200. An orchestra pit, cutting edge theatre lighting and audio systems, mean the venue is capable of holding a diverse range of events.
The AU$70million dollar project was commissioned in 2006 and overseen by Doric, a well known West Australian building company. The plumbing work was carried out by Selected Plumbing using REHAU HIS 311 for the hot and cold water applications. REHAU was also specified for the flow and return lines. A range of REHAU pipe sizes were used, from 16mm up to 50mm.
Damon Martin, Manager of Selected Plumbing had this to say about using Rehau plumbing supplies. "We’ve used REHAU in many of our projects, including AEC, Ellenbrook Shopping Centre, Waterford Shopping Centre and Fitzgerald Street apartments. Rehau is our preferred choice due to the ease of installation and support."
