A Sustainable Hand Drying Solution for Balle Bros Bathrooms

Balle Bros Group is one of New Zealand’s foremost integrated agricultural businesses. They specialise in vegetable crop production — onions, carrots, potatoes, amongst other cruciferous vegetables, and market them locally and globally via its export network.

Balle Bros have a strong focus on sustainability and strive to help avoid the depletion of our precious and finite natural resources by implementing best practices and availing of the most up to date technologies available.

The Dyson solution

Dyson approached Balle Bros with their Airblade hand dryer technology for their washrooms as a solution which would decrease paper towel costs, reduce carbon footprint and implement long lasting products that tied in well with their goals.

Dyson completed a cost and environmental analysis for Balle Bros to show the return on investment prior to the project going ahead. This gave them good oversight as to the costs involved and the long-term benefits.

The result

Overall, Balle Bros, are seeing strong benefits from the Dyson Airblade hand dryers thus far and the reduction of paper towels in the bin has been a welcome improvement.

“We have seasonal accommodation and the Dyson Airblade is fantastic, no wet towels!” — Linda Balle | Balle Bros Group.
