Dyson Airblade Keeps Maintenance to a Minimum at NorthWest Shopping Centre

NorthWest Shopping Centre is a modern retail centre providing a quality shopping experience to visiting customers. The centre was developed and now managed by Stride Holdings and opened in 2015. Major anchor tenants at the mall include Farmers and Countdown.

The Transformation

Dyson approached Stride Property in 2023 to demo their Airblade hand dryer technology and promote the benefits of the product.

As the hand dryers at the time were experiencing issues with motors breaking, the centre was looking for alternate options. They decided on the Dyson Airblade V.

The advantage of the Dyson Airblade V is the powerful V4 motor that ensures a fast dry time (12 seconds – Air speed of 690 km/h), low energy consumption and lifespan of at least 365,000 uses (approx 15 years at 100 uses per day). The product only costs $31 per year to run and emits very low levels of carbon emissions per dry.

The focus was on drying user’s hands quickly and ensuring the highest standards of hygiene onsite.

The Dyson hand dryers do not require any maintenance, other than a wipe down for hygiene purposes, and this provides a long-lasting product that greatly reduces any ongoing costs associated with the hand dryers onsite.
