The architect’s design brief was clear and simple: the building’s cladding needed to perform in New Zealand’s weather conditions year after year, while maintaining a stunning look in the future.
Allen Cleaver of Ullrich Aluminium says, “Our very own Ulltraclad system was the ideal choice. It ticked all the boxes.”
At the design stage, special attention was paid to the way air circulates behind the cladding. Ulltraclad allows the cladding to breathe, therefore eliminating the risk of any potential rot.
The Ulltraclad is supplied as a complete integrated cladding system, with its own flashings, corner mouldings and specific mounting clips allowing for ease and speed of installation. The fact is this is a pre-finished product. The build time is faster, resulting in lower sub-contractor costs.
Ulltraclad has been extensively tested and approved by BRANZ. It complies with the New Zealand Building Code Part E2 (external moisture) for both direct fix and cavity construction applications (dependent on risk factor).
