Door furniture is often overlooked when it comes to a space's design, and many times in the chaos of making a thousand different project decisions it can be seen as an afterthought. Yet, as the idiom says ‘the devil is in the detail’, and having the right door furniture to suit the overall design palette and intent should be a key consideration. After all, not only does it have to be practical, it also has a tangible, physical interaction with its user and this often starts with what they see first.
The Lockwood Velocity series has come a long way since its launch in 2010. The simple twist and tighten, super easy installation has remained the same but the range of lever styles and finishes have grown to meet the ‘detail’ requirements of many projects — adding that pièce de résistance. It now boasts over ten contemporary lever styles to enhance and help express the wide array of residential interior designs. The Velocity series also features the Urbo and Malta lever ranges to seamlessly complement popular exterior joinery hardware finishes.
Designed in Australia, the Velocity series encompasses the robust design and product quality that has become synonymous with Lockwood. An attractive yet unobtrusive rose design with hidden fixings is adorned by ergonomic modern lever shapes.
The Velocity Series includes passage sets for connecting doors, privacy sets for bathroom and toilet doors and dummy half sets for use on cupboard and wardrobe doors where a consistent styling is desired. In addition to the chrome finishes, there is also a matt black powder coat option. In addition to the original 63mm rose is the smaller 55mm rose series for a sleek architectural look.
After a decade on the market, the Lockwood Velocity series has grown from a niche product to a versatile offering that designers and their clients can confidently specify for its robustness, style and cost-effective price.
