Designed to carry commercial grade Magnum sliding doors, the sill is a good option for education and institutional environments with a need for wide opening sliders to meeting rooms and other partitioned spaces. It is available from Altherm, First and Vantage manufacturers nationwide.

The aluminium sill can be powder coated or anodised as appropriate, and can be installed near flush with adjoining carpet. Where it is placed on a flat floor, a sloped threshold can be used on the side of the sill to reduce the trip hazard or help with the transition between flooring finishes of different heights.

The sill can be laid in banks to cater for multiple sliding doors. The track is also a versatile 'reversible' extrusion — turned upside down it offers a deeper track option so that sliding door rails nest into the sill to minimise the passage of draughts or dust. In that orientation, brush seals can be included.
