Description

Both doors and windows use the same system, which is bottom-rolling with an in-frame track.

A lay-back option is available for certain configurations — 2-panel, 2+2 and 2+1, where the open panels fold back against an adjoining wall for an unobstructed deck.

Key Features
  • Maximum 2400mm high doors in very high wind zones — for larger sizes consider using the APL Architectural Series
  • Maximum glass panel thickness of 27mm
  • Corner bi-folds are available that do not require a corner post
  • The efficient bottom roller system allows optimum load capacity and increased panel width
  • Single panel access door can be used in conjunction with bi-fold doors
  • Lay-back panels require the facing to be within 15mm of final finished cladding line in order to achieve 180° opening
  • A wide range of configurations available
  • A rebated sill track option is available in sheltered locations
  • Overlights possible
  • Open-in frame available.

Scope of Use
  • Suitable for broad residential use
  • Maximise views and ventilation but need to be monitored if windy conditions occur
  • Available in defined maximum sizes
Limitations on Use
  • Maximum 2100mm high doors in very high wind zones — For larger sizes consider using the Metro ThermalHEART Series
  • Careful consideration of bi-fold use is required when projecting on to decks or pedestrian areas
  • In closed position bi-fold window and door stiles impact views
Statement of Building Code Compliance
  • Designed, tested and manufactured to meet NZS 4211: Performance of Windows, and NZS 4233:  Glazing in Buildings, Parts 1-4
  • Designed and tested to conform to NZ Building Code, including Clause E2
In-Service History
  • Launched in 2006
  • Design upgrades regularly released
  • Widely used by homeowners, builders, Group home builders and specifiers
Other Performance Attributes
  • Window and door warranty provided under normal conditions of use against failure of materials and workmanship for a period of five years
  • Surface finish is covered by a separate performance warranty dependent on the actual finish selected
  • A hardware/componentry warranty is offered against defects in manufacturing, functionality and surface finish for a period of five years, provided care and maintenance guidelines have been followed
