Residential Series ThermalHEART® Sliding Windows
For high-performance double-glazing, explore AGP’s product range available now Explore
Description

Residential Series ThermalHEART® sliding windows use the sliding door system. The sill track has a flushline appearance. Interlocker stiles are flush in the closed position. An over-light transom allows over-lights in association with sliding panels. An under-light transom allows fixed glazing below opening panels, useful if requiring large openings but protecting against falls from a height. A vertical sliding window system is not offered.

Key Features
  • Flush sill design
  • Thermal efficiency achieved through thermal breaks in aluminium profiles
  • 24mm IGU as standard but 32m IGU can be used with a wedged bead — compliance with NZBC clause H1 Energy Efficiency requires high performing Low-E double glazing
  • Door stiles and rails feature slender sightlines
  • Interlocker stiles vary in depth according to height, width and wind pressure requirements
  • Sliding windows use the sliding door system
  • Wide opening is possible in bi-parting or stacking configurations
Scope of Use
  • Suitable for broad residential use
  • Suitable for most applications where non-projecting windows are desired
  • Need to be used in defined maximum sizes according to the wind exposure
  • A good option for servery windows
  • Work well with insect screens
Limitations on Use
  • Consider the ease of reaching to the window handle if the sliding panel is placed beyond a bench
  • Some weather protection above e.g. wide eaves recommended to protect open windows
  • Compliance with Building Code H1 energy efficiency standards requires high performing Low-E double glazing
Statement of Building Code Compliance
  • Designed, tested and manufactured to meet NZS 4211: Specification for Performance of Windows, and NZS 423: Glazing in Buildings, Parts 1-4
  • Conforms to all relevant NZ Building Code clauses
In-Service History
  • Redesigned and relaunched in 2022 (previous version 2011)
  • New range rolling out nationally; previous version in use in residential projects throughout New Zealand by homeowners, builders, Group home builders and specifiers
Other Performance Attributes
  • Window and door warranty provided under normal conditions of use against failure of materials and workmanship for a period of five years
  • Surface finish is covered by a separate performance warranty dependent on the actual finish selected
  • A hardware/componentry warranty is offered against defects in manufacturing, functionality and surface finish for a period of five years, provided care and maintenance guidelines have been followed
