125 Weatherboard Panel
Description

At 125mm wide this Weatherboard louvre creates a panel that provides an alternative look to the Flush panels. Available as Spiral Pivot Motorised or hand operable as well as end or bracket fixed. The blades can be run vertically or horizontally with each blade closing on to a recessed wool pile strip.

When closed the mitred ends of the blades present a classic weatherboard panel effect.

Scope of Use
  • Perfect for closing off decks or using as an exterior shutter in place of traditional window treatments
  • Can be used for sun shading, wind break, privacy and Architectural feature
  • Suitable for coastal, inland, snow, residential, commercial installation
  • Louvres can be installed horizontally, vertically or at an angle and can be motorised or manually adjustable (Spiral Pivot system) or fixed (end or bracket)
  • The Spiral pivot system allows for 180° rotation of the louvres
Limitations on Use
  • Louvre spans are restricted by wind zone. Refer relevant table in Louvretec Product catalogue
  • Louvres cannot be used as a weather proofing solution to a building
  • Supporting structures over 10m high may require specific engineering
Statement of Building Code Compliance
  • Engineered to meet relevant AS/NZS standards
  • All extrusions manufactured in an ISO quality assured environment to AS1866 & AS3902 standards
  • Louvre spans, as per tables 1&2, section 12 of the Louvretec Product Catalogue, are certified by Markplan Consulting Limited (Consulting Structural Engineers) and meets the requirements of AS/NZS 1170:2011, NZS3604:2011, AS/NZ 1664:1997
  • Refer to attached Engineering notes and PS1 provided by Markplan Consulting with regard to B1 & B2
In-Service History

The 125 Louvreline Weatherboard Panel has been part of the Louvretec range since 1997 being used in residential and commercial applications in New Zealand. Off shore it has been used in Australia and many other countries including the Netherlands, Tahiti, Fiji,Hong Kong and the United States (California).

The Spiral Pivot system for motorised and manual applications was introduced in 2003 and is used in most Louvretec motorised / manual systems.
