SoundDown SDP Panel Acoustic System for Mass Timber Floors
Description

SoundDown SDP Panel, is a low profile acoustic floor system, designed for superior resilience and durability. This innovative system is built to reduce sound transmission between floors, making it ideal for use in multi-level buildings and spaces where noise reduction is critical.

The SDP Panel system features a unique construction that combines multiple layers of sound-dampening materials, including environmentally friendly materials such as rubber from recycled car tyres and board made from upcycled milk cartons. The result is a floor that can withstand heavy foot traffic, furniture movement, and other common sources of wear and tear without compromising on acoustic performance.

Unlike other acoustic floor systems on the market, the low profile design means that there's no need to sacrifice valuable ceiling height in order to achieve superior noise reduction. Plus, this system is quick and easy to install, with 'supply & install' options available.

Pre-assembled panels are supplied in 1800 x 600 x 42mm sheets, comprising:

  • 20mm Maglok™ panel
  • 5mm layer of rubber isolation strips
  • 6mm SaveBoard panel
  • 10mm thick x 90 x 45mm rubber pads are fixed to the SDP panel at 450mm centres along the length of the panel
