Description

Abodo Vulcan Smooth Decking is created from thermally modified Radiata Pine sourced from Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certified New Zealand plantation forests.

Treated with a low VOC organic preservative system (OPX) that includes a water repellent. Abodo’s thermal modification process ensures a reduced equilibrium moisture content for increased stability.

Vulcan Smooth Decking is graded with semi-vertical grain orientation, and has a beautiful, homogeneous brown timber finish. Available in a smooth dressed uncoated surface.

Scope of Use

Vulcan Smooth Decking is designed to be used as a decking timber fixed on buildings in accordance with NZS 3604 clause 7.4.
Residential use
Available in a smooth dressed uncoated surface.

Limitations on Use

Must be designed and installed in accordance with the Abodo technical literature
Colour variation may occur due to variation in the natural substrate — colour may change/fade as part of the weathering process

Statement of Building Code Compliance

This product will, if employed in accordance with the supplier's installation and maintenance requirements, assist with meeting the following provisions of the building code:

Clause B2 Durability: Performance B2.3.1(b)
B2 Durability: By assessment against the provisions of Acceptable Solutions B2/AS1 and E2/AS1, and testing and expert opinion with the provisions of Verification Method B2/VM1
