The course covers clause H1 (Energy efficiency provisions) in the New Zealand Building Code. The focus is on the Acceptable Solution H1/AS1 for solid construction, looking at the best ways to insulate masonry homes utilising the thermal mass properties of concrete construction.

The insulation properties of PSL's 40mm Graphex Overlay System produce an R-value of 1.7.  This negates having to insulate the inside wall with 90mm framing and 1.8 batts.
