With excellent adhesion and having a favorable compression/flexural strength ratio, PB1mm can be applied by hopper gun or commercial plastering machines. PB1mm can, however, also be applied manually when mixed by drill or machine. PB1mm can be applied to a minimum thickness of 1mm. During setting the applied areas may be screeded, plastic trowel floated (or sponged with water) or sprayed with a hopper gun to achieve the required finish.
PB1mm is manufactured using selected grades of sand, lime, cement and mineral additives. Sand particle range is 0-1mm.
This finish is achieved by using the same mixture as the 1mm SPONGE but is finished with the plastic float.
Adobe can be applied from 1mm to 5mm thickness. During setting, the applied areas may be screeded, floated, sponged or brushed with water to achieve the required finish. ADOBE can be easily worked to any desired effect, from bold rustic and undulating textures to smooth sponge finishes. For a smooth finish it may, depending on the straightness of the basecoat, be necessary to apply two coats of ADOBE.
All of the Masons Plastabrick plaster finishes are completed with PREMIUM BUILD High Build Acrylic paint that can be coloured with any of todays tints including the very popular 'Dulux Colours of New Zealand' range.
It is formulated on an adhesion promoted pure acrylic latex that imparts excellent adhesion, water and alkali resistance and exceptional weather resistance. The low sheen finish will promote good soil resistance and a finish that is easy to clean.
The high build properties of this coating enhances application on difficult to apply surfaces and produces a very tough finish. A dry film thickness of 80 micrograms per coat can be achieved.
