Frame Feature Windows with Spectrum Facade Shrouds

Spectrum Facade Shrouds or Window Shrouds are great additions to frame around windows on building elevations that are highly visible. Facade Shrouds are primarily used as decoration to add depth to the facade. However, as well as making the facade look great by adding depth, they do have additional benefits of providing privacy and sun shading.

Spectrum Facade Shrouds are architectural elements commonly added to new buildings such as in Hobsonville, Auckland. Universal Homes engaged Spectrum to install many Facade Shrouds in Hobsonville to bring together the modern look they were after.

Spectrum’s generic PS1 and readily available detailing make specification simple. While predominantly used on new buildings, Facade Shrouds can also be added to existing buildings during a renovation to modernise the building.

Benefits include:

  • Fixing to wide range of substrates accommodated
  • Support bracket is hidden inside shroud
  • Wide range of standard shroud sizes available including 150 x 40mm, 150 x 50mm, 200 x 50mm, 250 x 50mm and 300 x 50mm
  • Custom options also possible such as 150 x 100mm and folded sheet metal

Generic PS1’s and standard fixing details are available to cover most situations. Make contact with the team at Spectrum to discuss your requirements for Facade Shrouds.
