Renowned for their high calibre designs, O'Neil Architecture, Christchurch has created this stunning and bespoke residence in Fendalton, Christchurch. The home takes advantage of the engineered strength of tubular steel to support living spaces as they float effortlessly in defiance of Canterbury’s recent shaky history.
The home features solid and defined proportions made from plaster and basalt, and complemented by abundant glazing through which visitors get a feel of the open and warm living environment.
For the facade, Resene Construction Systems' Integra Lightweight Concrete Facade System was chosen finished with Rockcote Classico acrylic texture coloured Resene Half Black White. The BRANZ-appraised Integra exterior plaster facade system comprises a mechanically fixed INTEGRA lightweight concrete panel, modified flexible acrylic renders and a weather-protected base, and is finished with versatile and low maintenance Rockcote plaster topped with a tintable protective finishing coat.
The Integra Lightweight Concrete Facade system meets NZBC requirements for B1 Structure, B2 Durability and E2 External Moisture and is backed by a 15-year system guarantee for assured performance. It is an ideal option for any project where a beautiful plastered aesthetic is wanted with no compromise to the durability and structural integrity of the building.
This beautiful home was constructed and finished with professional craft and skill by all trades involved; the Rockcote Plastered INTEGRA Facade was supplied, installed and finished by Glen and the Team at Properly Plastered, Christchurch.
