Rehau now presents an alternative solution to lagged PVC drainage systems that offers superior acoustic values at less cost, whilst at the same time being an ideal product partner for Green Star projects.
RAUPIANO PLUS is an acoustic drainage system designed to improve the attenuation of sound created by turbulent water flow through pipe work. The system has been extensively tested by AECOM in Australia who approved Rehau RAUPIANO pipe as a suitable alternative to lagged PVC pipe – especially for projects where there is a performance requirement of meeting RW + Ctr 40 when installed above a standard 10mm plasterboard ceiling with no insulation.
Furthermore, Rehau RAUPIANO will provide 1 dB better performance than the performance requirement when installed above a standard 13mm plasterboard ceiling with no insulation or a 10mm plasterboard ceiling with Fletcher Insulation R2.0 glass wool insulation.
RAUPIANO PLUS pipes and fittings improve sound insulation performance through the innovative three-layer pipe and bend fittings with optimised mass concentration to further reduce air-borne noise transmission. Additional advantages include: more ceiling space for the other services, no disconnection of lagging once the job is completed meaning guaranteed acoustics will be there for the life of the installation and one less trade on site.
RAUPIANO PLUS also has high temperature – 90 degree continuous, 95 degree intermittent and chemical resistance to (ph 2 – 12) – making it an ideal solution for trade waste applications.
