Resene Fireguard is an intumescent coating designed to improve the early fire hazard of various inflammable substrates. It's designed to provide this protective effect while maintaining the ease of application and aesthetic appeal of a good quality decorative coating.

In keeping with trends towards waterborne low VOC finishes, Resene Fireguard is a waterborne paint finish with just 3 g volatile organic compounds per litre.  With easy water washup and a low waterborne paint odour, Resene Fireguard can be quickly and easily applied.
