Nine New Reasons to Be Inspired by Bestwood Melamine

The updated range was selected with input from some of New Zealand’s top designers but also strongly influenced by the best of European design trends.

In answer to the continued growth in woodgrains, six new timber designs have been added which are all sampled in the new Timberland plate finish — a big step up in realism with a deeply textured woodgrain finish that is hard to tell from a timber veneer.

Honey Ash and Vintage Ash provide some warmly toned woodgrains that are versatile in their use, while Smoked Ash contains a myriad of underlying tones that pair beautifully with both pastels and dark blues and greens.

Simply Eucalyptus is a striking décor that was a unanimous inclusion in the range from all who saw it and Classic Walnut has a planked layup with a beautiful grain. Blackened Teak is another versatile woodgrain that has a more rustic feel but with tones that pair well with a wide range of colours.

Three additional designs in an oxidised gold, a dark metallic wash and deep blue have been chosen to complement both the woodgrains and each other.

The Bestwood Melamine range carries Environmental Choice NZ accreditation and is able to contribute valuable points to Homestar and Greenstar projects. The new range is supported with the release of a new 64-page catalogue and a design competition to encourage the use of the new decors.
