The timeless appeal of shaker-style doors is being re-discovered in 2025 and it shouldn’t surprise anyone. With the classic design of a flat centre panel surrounded by a simple frame, this clean structured look works equally well in both contemporary kitchens and more traditional villa/farmhouse kitchens and bathrooms.
The Ronda profile from Dezignatek has been a top seller in its thermoform door range for nearly 20 years but in recent times has been joined by the thinner frame Berlin profile, and its even skinnier sister the Brussels. The Ronda has a 53mm frame, the Berlin a 20mm frame and the Brussels has a minimalist, barely-there 6mm.
While the thermoform vinyl wrap option for a door provides superb durability, a seamless moisture-resistant edge and an easy-care surface, doors can also be supplied as paint-ready which opens up a whole world of colour choice.
With all three shaker-style profiles, matching drawer packs can be made using different configurations:- drawer fronts can be ordered as individual drawers, reduced rail drawers or as a drawer pack where the frame only appears on the outside of the entire drawer set.
Dezignatek custom makes all its thermoform vinyl and paint-ready doors, so combining a shaker-style door with a plain Milan door is also an option in any kitchen or bathroom space.
Dezignatek doors can only be ordered via joiners and are not sold direct. Small sample doors can be ordered online by design and joinery professionals and thermoform vinyl chips are freely available to everyone via the Dezignatek website at www.dezignatek.co.nz.
