Restrooms that look sharp whilst withstanding almost constant use and abuse are a necessity for The Lawrenson Group, the operator of 15 successful hospitality venues in Auckland and Hamilton.
Lawrenson Group CEO John Lawrenson believes Compact Laminate specialists Resco are the obvious choice, as he describes the toilet cubicles in the group’s businesses like Bar 101, Shenanigans Irish Pub and Furnace restaurant and bar as "bullet-proof".
"The Resco product is basically indestructible," says John. "It has stood up for years for us, we have the busiest bars and nightclubs in Hamilton, we wouldn’t use anything else."
Top of the range Resco Series 7000 cubicles are standard in men’s restrooms and women’s restrooms are fitted out with the more economical Series 5000. "They are both rock solid, but we like the slightly stronger top and framework of the Series 7000 for the guys because they are just generally bigger in size, and therefore tougher on the product."
Graffiti is not a problem says John, because of the anti-graffiti formulation of the Resco Compact Laminate surface. "People almost don’t bother now because they seem to know it's pointless, it just wipes off. They don't even try to scratch it either, it's rock hard."
The Lawrenson Group places a high priority on cleanliness of facilities and the design of the Resco cubicles assists with this in both style – simple lines, rebated doors, no dirt traps – and substance: all Resco panels contain Antibac, an innovative new bacteria-repelling compound that kills 99 per cent of bacteria within two hours, for the lifetime of the panel.
"We only use rugged, solid core Compact Laminate," adds Resco product specialist Troy Henriques. "Our pre-finished panels are water, impact and graffiti resistant and extremely low maintenance. We supply a range of products with New Zealand's largest choice of colours, which we confidently back with lengthy guarantees."
